Access to all official social events (excluding the Golf Tournament and Martini Madness) is included with full week registrations and your delegate badge must be presented for admittance. Additional passes for guests or for delegates with daily registration(s) can be purchased on-site.
| 25TH ANNIVERSARY GOLF TOURNAMENT |
On May 1st sign-up begins for the 25th Anniversary Golf Tournament. Don’t hesitate to enter to play the world famous course at The Fairmont Banff Springs. With prizes to be won, this first annual fundraiser for Banff Television Festival promises to be a sell-out so don’t delay.
Renowned for its panoramic beauty, The Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course is a captivating and challenging layout set in the heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Designed by Stanley Thompson, Canada’s master golf architect, the course offers a breathtaking view in every direction and a magnificent layout. Amateurs and professionals alike are constantly amazed by the actual hole design and the optical illusions created by the surrounding mountains.

Texas Scramble on The Stanley Thompson 18
Teams will consist of 4 players. All players will tee off from their designated tee box. After all players have hit their shots, the team captain will choose the best shot. All other players will then move their balls to that spot and then repeat the process until the hole is completed. All players drives must be used three times. RCGA rules apply |

| CBC/Radio-Canada presents the 25th Banff Rockie Awards |
Sunday, June 13 - 7:30pm - 9:30pm
Often referred to as the 'Olympics of Television', the Banff Rockie Awards celebrate excellence in 15 program categories. In addition, there are Special Jury Awards, the NHK President’s Prize of $25,000.00 honoring the best production in HDTV, as well as the Global Television Grand Prize providing $50,000.00 for the Best Program in the Festival. Presentations to winners of the Award of Excellence and the Sir Peter Ustinov Award will also be made.

Exhibition Gallery Opening & Reception.
Giddy Up, a project by Andrew Hunter at the Walter Phillips Gallery that tells the tale of Andy, a young boy from Southern Ontario who yearns to visit Banff and to ride the trails, sleep under the stars, and be a "real" cowboy. The boy's fantasies are fuelled by a mysterious neighbour, a "cowboy" lost in the suburbs of 1960s Southern Ontario. Inspired by classic Westerns, country music, pulp fictions and cowboy kitsch, Giddy Up weaves a tale of innocence lost with a sinister twist.
